Dogs are banned from all Seaside Award resorts and Blue Flag beaches and should be kept on leads in all areas adjoining the beach. However the ban,
which is normally enforced through bye laws, will only affect the main section of the beach for the main season, generally between May and September.
Dogs will be allowed on nearby stretches of beach and on most rural beaches. Areas which ban dogs should be clearly sign posted
